Our little ones look to us to model behaviour. The best skill you can give your child is the power of positive self-talk and self-confidence. Using Affirmation Cards for Kids is the first steps to help grow mindfulness, they're never too young to start.

This set of 26 positive affirmation cards focuses on affirming the child is loved, as well as confidence-building statements that ensure they know they are capable of handling all situations. We have mindfully paired each positive affirmation with hand-drawn illustrations, to help little ones visualise each phrase.

These cards have a special focus on kindness, not only to themselves but to others around them. Research shows mindful kids are more likely to be focused, calm and have the ability to create their own happiness, which are all essential parts for your child’s wellbeing.

Our Kids Affirmation Cards are Australia based. Printed locally in Sydney, on an A6 size 350gsm card stock, with rounded corners and protective matt celloglazing for durability. They also come in a calico drawstring bag for safekeeping.

We hope your little one loves these cards and they bring greater mindfulness to them and those around them.

What are affirmations and why are they important?

Affirmations are statements that encourage a positive mindset, by challenging negative or unhelpful thoughts. There is even scientific evidence that shows repeating positive affirmations daily can help change negative thinking patterns to positive ones.

How can I turn these into mindfulness activities for my kids?

You can easily use these positive affirmation cards as a mindfulness activity. Begin by discussing emotions, ask your child if there was a time they would have needed to hear one of these phrases. Or perhaps there was a time they could have supported a friend or family member with these thoughtful words. Putting these cards into action in real-world situations again reinforces mindfulness and compassion.

Another idea we have incorporated in our own home is a calm corner. An inviting and inspiring safe space for our children to unwind when they need a break. These cards hang on the wall, as a gentle reminder of how loved and important they are.
